Title: Exercise to Reduce Obesity in Spinal Cord Injury Patients.
PI: David R. Gater, MD; PhD.
Purpose: Evaluate and compare the health benefits of using upper extremity exercise versus functional electrical stimulation for lower extremity exercise. This study is for patients with an level of injury of T6 –L2 and ASIA classification of A&B only.
Compensation: Will be paid for participation.

Title: Body Composition Assessment in Spinal Cord Injury
PI: David R. Gater, MD, PhD
Purpose: The specific objectives for the current proposal are to compare several measures of body composition assessment with the gold standard (4-Compartment Modeling) and to develop regression equations that can be utilized in the clinical setting to estimate risk for diabetes and atherosclerosis.
Compensation: Will be paid for participation.
