Jeff Ericksen, M.D.

Assistant professor

Ericksen joined the PM&R faculty in 1998 after an early career in private practice in the Boston area doing mostly outpatient musculoskeletal medicine. He currently serves as the director of rehabilitation consult service, stroke and amputation rehabilitation.

His interests include inpatient rehabilitation and holistic approaches to musculoskeletal pain syndromes in the outpatient setting. He has developed an interest in nutrition as it applies to weight loss and muscle pain problems as well as diabetes management. Postresidency training in osteopathic manual medicine has focused his management of pain syndromes, particularly spine problems. Proliferant Therapy, (ProloTherapy) also is an interest, done in VCU Health System Ambulatory Care Center Clinic! Electrodiagnosis is an area of interest and Ericksen is a Fellow of the American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Ericksen is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine and did his residency training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where he served as chief resident for education.
