Patient outcomes

The Rehabilitation and Research Center treats more than 700 patients annually and evaluates and summarizes patient outcomes for major diagnostic groups. The graphs below provide information on the average acute length of stay, rehabilitation length of stay, average rehabilitation unit charges and discharge rate to the community for each major diagnostic group. The graphs show trended program performance for four consecutive quarters in 2001 (in solid colors) and compare to the national average for benchmarking (in checkered pattern).

Our program routinely handles more complex patients with higher acuity needs and we are proud of the success rates of our patients. We hope that this information is useful to you in selecting the best rehabilitation program to meet your needs. Additional information is available on request from R. Macon Sizemore, director of inpatient rehabilitation services.
