Welcome to the Spinal Cord Injury, (SCI) Program


VCU PM&R provides a complete program of care for persons with SCI and their families.  VCU Health System is one of five Level I Trauma Centers in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the only one in central Virginia. Comprehensiveness, interdisciplinary communication, consumer needs assessments and integration of a continuum of services are important values which have guided program development at VCU.The VCU system of care continues to develop, and partnerships with local,regional and national rehabilitation agencies.

Hunter Holmes McGuire VAMC (HHMVAMC) Spinal Cord Injury & Disorders Center HHMVAMC SCI&D provides a complete program of care for veterans with SCI and their families. HHMVAMC SCI&D is the largest of the 24 U.S.VHA SCI&D Centers across the nation and boasts 8 SCI&D specialty physicians and multidisciplinary teams including rehabilitation nurses, PAs, PTs, OTs, KTs, TRs, SLTs, RTs, psychologists, social workers and vocational rehabilitation counselors as well as an extremely active research program.
