  • “Advanced Research in Spasticity: Spasticity Assessment and Intervention in    Previously Untreated Children with Cerebral Palsy”

Principal investigator: Emily Huang, DO
Co-Principal investigator: William McKinley, MD

Purpose: To observe spasticity in a previously untreated population with cerebral palsy, assess the contributions of age, diagnosis, distribution of muscle involvement and monitor functional abilities pre and post intervention with botulism toxin-A.

  • “Circuit Resistive Training (CRT): Providing Availability of a Healthy Exercise Option for Persons with Spinal Cord Injury”

Principal Investigator: Beth Sasso PT
Co-investigators: Ashley Barrow OT, William McKinley, MD

Purpose: Commonwealth Neurotrauma Initiative (CNI) grant providing state-of-the-art functional electrical stimulation (FES) ergometry to give those with SCI and other neurological conditions the healthy benefits of exercising their lower body and reducing the negative effects of immobility.
