Mission statement

The mission of the VCU PM&R Medical Student SIG is to maximize opportunities for learning more about this specialty medical field and enhance PM&R clinical and academic exposure. By increasing knowledge about PM&R, the student will be able to improve his examination and problem-solving skills, make more informative decisions about potential residency training options, and be able to make more appropriate future referrals for PM&R-related patients. We hope to meet these objectives through various means, including: interactive med student “get-togethers”, information sharing, lectures & presentations by PM&R faculty, informative brochures, and opportunities for clinical exposure with PM&R faculty & residents.
