PMR SIG Officer Meeting

November 19, 2004, Noon – 1 p.m.

1. Fundraising Letter

1. fundraising letter will be forwarded to gmail account
2. a list of alumni from the MCV PMR residency program will also be sent to the gmail account
3. the officers will wait until the end of February (after the holidays) to send the letter to respective organizations

2. Lunchtime Lectures

1. Dr. Cifu’s talk
   1. A good turnout
   2. Rick will add emails to gmail account
2. Sports Med Lecture
   1. Tentatively scheduled for the first week of January
   2. Aaron will email Dr. Kathy Deck for lecture
   3. Perhaps collaborate with other sports med student orgs
3. Pain Med Lecture
   1. Tentatively scheduled for the fourth week of January
   2. Perhaps Dr.Enders
      • Last years’ Chief Resident
      • Current Pain Med fellow
      • Preferred because better ability to relate to students
      • Meagan will email Dr. Enders for lecture

3. Gmail Account

1. Necessary to save password
2. Officers will begin to send notices/announcements to listserv from account
3. Eventually will use filters (i.e. code words) to forward certain notices to particular people, instead of to the entire listserv

4. M1 PMR Elective

1. Jason Frankel will speak to M1 class in late January
2. Marcia will email him
